Import Genotype

Genotypes are crop specific and the genotypes used in the trials must be entered into the database before trial data can be added. Details of the aliases of the Genotype and the pedigree can also be entered using the bulk import function.

Import Genotype

Change sub system, eg Demo.

Task => Genotype => Manage Genotype

 

 

 
To see the crop for the Genotypes Enter ?*? in search field.

 And click on the  button or press the ?Enter? key

This will display the crops entered into the system by default.

 Select which Genus to add the Genotypes to. For example Demo.

Select the Import Genotype Button

Select a source file,  "GenotypeDemo.xls"

Note : The column/s [ Crop,Genotype ] must exist in the source file and mapped with the column name used in database to import data!

The following warning is displayed, this is due to the "Coma delimiter" used

Click on Yes to proceed, this well show the preview of the imported Genotype

Click on

Return to main screen with the imported genotypes displayed for the selected crop.

Note : That when the genotype is highlighted the Aliases of the select genotype will be displayed.
