Search Genotype

The Search Genotype component is used to search and populate as shown in the following illustrative snapshot.

Illustrative snapshot (Trial Unit Edit Form):

 

1. The Search Genotype component in the Trial Unit Setup form.
   • Important note: Genotypes are search on all the Genus that can be used in the Current Sub-system by the logged-in user. In this snapshot, the genotypes are searched in [ Barley, Brassica, Bread Wheat and Durum Wheat ] genus.
2. Click it to find Genotype Alias using Quick Search. This is useful when you know the Genotype Alias but don't know the Genotype Name.
3. Click it to Hide (or show) [ Search Genotype ] component ( 1 ).

Illustrative snapshot (Genotype selection for Trial Design):

1. The Search Genotype component as used in Trial Design Form.
   • As shown in the snapshot above, the search condition is [ Column Name = Genotype, Search Operator = Starts with and Search Value = * ] which means list all the genotypes in the permitted-genus. Please note that the search is case-insensitive.
   • Important note: Genotypes are search on all the Genus that can be used in the Current Sub-system by the logged-in user. In this snapshot, the genotypes are searched in [ Barley, Brassica, Bread Wheat and Durum Wheat ] genus.
2. Click it to find Genotype Alias using Quick Search. This is useful when you know the Genotype Alias but don't know the Genotype Name.
3. [ Included Genotypes ] list to use to generate trial design.
   • Note: The list displays in [ Genotype Name | Genus Name | Selection History ] format.
   • In the snapshot, [ Included Genotypes ] List has Bread Wheat, Brassica and Barley genotypes.
4. Genotypes in the [ Available Genotypes ] list can be added in the [ Included Genotypes ] list.
   • Note: The list displays in [ Genotype Name | Genus Name | Selection History ] format.
   • In the snapshot, [ Available Genotypes ] List displays Bread Wheat, Brassica and Durum Wheat genotypes.
