Genotype Group

Genotype Group in Katmandoo is used to group a set of genotypes. It is specific to Sub-system.

Genotype Group Name

The genotype group name uniquely identifies a genotype group within a Sub-system.

Group Type Id

The Genotype GroupType identifies the type of genotype group so that the genotype groups displayed can be restricted to those relevant to the individual interface, for example the user would not want to see the genotype groups used for a DNAExtract composite sample when veiwing pedigrees. The DNA Extract structure requires a GenotypeGroup consisting of a single genotype to be created for each DNAExtract.

Column Name	Description
GenotypeGroupId (PK)	Identity number that uniquely identifies a genotype group.
GenotypeGroupName (AK)	Name that uniquely identifies a Genotype Group.
SubSystemId	Id that identifies the Sub-system of the Trial Type.
GenotypeGroupManagerId	Id that identifies the Manager for the genotype group.
GenotypeGroupNote	Notes on genotype group.

Genotype Group tab in the Data Dictionary has detailed information on the columuns used in Genotype Group table.

Use [ Task > Genotype > Manage Genotype Group ] to load all the genotype group in the database.

- Use [ View > Arrange columns in Main Form ] to change default order of displayed. Alternately it can be changed by editing the column list of the Misc Group Genotype GroupSetupDataGrid.

To add/edit a genotype group, follow the steps below :

Select a genotype group in the genotype group main form to modify.
Use [ Record > Add Genotype Group ] or [ Record > Edit Genotype Group ] or [ Record > Repeat Genotype Group ] to load the Genotype Group Setup Form to add/edit a genotype group.

To add/update genotype list of a Genotype Group, follow the steps below :

Select a Genotype Group in the main form to modify.
Use [ Record > Update Genotype List ] to run Update Genotype List form (illustrated below).

Use Search Genotype to load genotypes in the [ Available Genotypes ] list.
[ Included Genotypes ] in dual-list displays genotypes that are already selected for the selected Genotype Group in the main form.
- Note: The list is in Genotype | Genus | Selection History format.
Genotypes in the [ Available Genotypes ] in dual-list can be added in the [ Included Genotypes ] list.

Export

Click on Export button in the main form or use [ Record > Export > Export Genotype Group ] to start Export Wizard to export displayed genotype group.

Import

Click on Import button in the main form or use [ Record > Import > Import Genotype Group ] to start Import Wizard to import genotype group from an external source file.
- The default order of columns displayed can be changed by editing the column list of the Misc Group GenotypeGroupSetupDataGrid.
- The source file must have Genotype GroupName column.
