Genus

Overview

Genus is defined in Katmandoo as a taxonomic category ranking below a family and above species and generally consisting of a group of species exhibiting similar characteristics. (Reference: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/genus).

The "Genus" word is replaced by the value of "GenusCaption" key in the .config. Please read important information before making any changes in the config file.

Granting Permission to use Genotypes of Genus

Table Structure

Column Name Description
GenusId (PK) Identity number that uniquely identifies a genus.
GenusName (AK) Name that uniquely identifies a Genus

Main Form

Use [ Task > Genotype > Manage Genus ] to load all the genus in the database.

Note: The "Genus" word is replaced by the
Genus Caption in the forms and menus.

  3. System Groups that are granted permission to the selected genus (ie Bread Wheat in the snapshot).

Setup Form

To add/edit a genus, follow the steps below :

  1. Genus name is disabled as the genus has dependant data. Click here for information on editing restricted value.
  2. Select a role from the list to grant the permission to all the System Groups of all the Sub-system to the genus.
