Prepare Sub-system

It provides information about preparing or building a Sub-system to enter data.

• This form is loaded when a new Sub-system is added in the database.
• It can be loaded using [ Record > Prepare selected Sub-system ] as well.

1. Copy permissions, validation rules and site list of Source Sub-system to Target Sub-system
2. Update Site List of the selected Sub-system. This is optional.

1. Read this important note before performing task below.
2. When the Source Sub-system is selected, the System Groups of Target Sub-system is mapped with the System Groups of the Source Sub-system (4 and 5).
3. Target Sub-system is the selected Sub-system (that can be new or existing) in the Sub-system Main Form.
4. Mapped System Groups of the Source Sub-system which can be changed by clicking in the combobox.
5. System Groups of Target Sub-system.
6. Click it to remove the mapping of a System Group of Target Sub-system so that permission for that group is not updated.
7. Permission can be setup using different form as explained on 7.
8. Click it to copy following data of the Source Sub-system to the Target Sub-system (ie Lupin Agronomy in the snapshot).
   • Permission of System Groups of source Sub-system on Resource and Genus
   • Authorised User list of source Sub-system 
   • Validation rules of source Sub-system for System Columns and Virtual Columns
   • Validation rules of source Sub-system for Traits
   • Site of source Sub-system

Notes on copying validation rule:

• Validation rules of Columns and Virtual Columns: It selects validation rule of all the columns and Virtual Columns for the selected (source) sub-system, then append the selected validation rules into the database for the Target Sub-system. Please note that it does NOT copy validation rule of those columns and Virtual Column that already have validation rule for the Target Sub-system.
• Validation rules of Traits: It selects validation rule of all the traits for the selected (source) sub-system, then append the selected validation rules into the database for the Target Sub-system. Please note that it does NOT copy validation rule of those traits that already have validation rule for the Target Sub-system.

The list contains that the sites that can be used by the Sub-system as shown in the Sub-system Main Form.

To update site list of a Sub-system, follow the steps below :

• Select a Sub-system in the Sub-system main form.
• Use [ Record > Update Site List of Sub-system ] the Sub-system Setup Form to add/edit a Sub-system.
