on pre-requisite and following are the additional requirements.
- The source file must have SiteName, SiteYear, TrialTypeName and TrialNumber columns
and Unit Position Virtual columns.
- The source must also have at least one trait.
- If the source file does NOT have
- Trait Instance Number column, then 1
is the default trait instance number.
- Trait Recorded Date column (raw data), then Trial Start date is used.
- Operator Name column, then contact info of the current logged-in user is used.
This wizard can be activated from following two forms:

the second page is same for all the options.

Import NEW Raw data ONLY of one
or more trials
- Select Import NEW Raw data ONLY of one or more
trials option in the Import
Raw data Wizard.

- If Excel file is selected, then
select worksheet of
the source file that contains the trial design with raw data.
- On this selected option (1), the import wizard can import raw data for only one
Sample Type which must be selected before
the import process can starts.
- Trait Name suffixed with Trait Instance Number (Grain_Yield_Raw
is the trait and 1 is the instance number
in the snapshot).
- Mapped Trait Name used in the database
- Instance number separated from trait name
- Since the Instance number is suffixed with trait name (4), Instance number is mapped

- Sample Type is selected (3) for all the raw data. Click

Import Raw data of ONLY ONE Trial
- Pre-requisite: The source file must have
Sample Type Name column Name.
- Select Import Raw data of ONLY ONE Trial option
in the Import
Raw data Wizard.

- If Excel file is selected, then
select worksheet of
the source file that contains the trial design with raw data.
- If the source file is being used to update existing raw data in the database, then
tick this option.
- If the source file has only new raw data, then tick this option.
- Sample Type column in the source file (one
of the pre-requisite).
- Since the Instance number is suffixed with trait name (5), Instance number is mapped
(7) in the Trait Name Mapping datagrid.
So, even when the Instance number is mapped in Column Name mapping datagrid,
the mapping will be removed before the import process starts. Click

Following message are applicable only when
Import NEW Raw data ONLY of one or more trials option is selected in the
Import Raw data Wizard.
- Above message is to confirm the selected Sample Type for all raw data in the source
file.
- Above message to alert user on removal of mapping of Sample Type column.
The default order of columns displayed can be changed by
editing the column list of the Misc Group
TrialUnitSetupDataGrid.

- Unit Position Text: Though the design factors are displayed in a single column,
it will be splitted into columns when
exporting data.
