How to: Import Demo data

Create a test database:
  1. Switch to database Katmandoo2_2_Blank
  2. Clone database Katmandoo2_2_Blank to KatmandooTest (or any new name)
  3. Switch to database KatmandooTest
Demo files are in the "DemoData" folder of Katmandoo2 ( C:\Program Files\Katmandoo2\DemoData ). If you do not have them, then please download Demo data from [ Download > Katmandoo2 ] section of www.katmandoo.org/forum.
Please follow the steps below to import all the required demo data into KatmandooTest database.
  1. Add Demo sub-system in the selected database.
    Then switch to Demo Sub-system.
  2. Import Virtual Columns using demo file Virtual Columns zTotal.xls
  3. Import Validation rules of the Virtual Columns using demo file Virtual Columns zTotal.xls
  4. Import Trait using demo file Trait Information with validation rules.xls
  5. Import Validation rule of the Traits using demo file Trait Information with validation rules.xls
  6. Import Organisation using demo file Organisations.xls
  7. Import Location using worksheet Location Site list of demo file Location and Site data.xls
  8. Add genus Demo
  9. Import Genotype using demo file Genotype data.xls
  10. Import Site using DemoTrialData worksheet of demo file Trial data.xls
  11. Import Trial Type using DemoTrialData worksheet of demo file Trial data.xls
  12. Import Trial Meta-data using DemoTrialData worksheet of demo file Trial data.xls
  13. Import Trial Design using DemoTrialData worksheet of demo file Trial data.xls
  14. Import Raw data DemoTrialData worksheet of demo file Trial data.xls
  15. Import Trial AOV Summary using demo file AOV data.xls
  16. Import Genotype AOV Means using demo file AOV data.xls

Exporting data from Katmandoo

All the main-forms has [ Record > Export ] menu to export data displayed in the main form. These are additional export wizards:
